Experience Northern Italy’s riches through Giorgio’s eyes
Driving through Northern Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, AutoVenture guests will be enthralled by the good life and culinary bounty found in the hillside villages.
One of the brightest gems is Montagnana’s Ristorante La Noce di Giorgio Muzzarelli located in the countryside just before the Appennini Mountains.
There, the owner Giorgio Muzzarelli runs an unforgettable restaurant. In addition to hosting guests, he is a Somelier, giving lessons in the tasting of wine and his precious balsamic vinegar, aged a minimum of 12 years, which infuses many of the dishes on the menu.
It will be a memory you’ll relish: All your senses engaged, sitting in a gorgeous, Italian home; nibbling on Parma ham and olives, and then dining on fresh, handmade pasta, mushrooms, truffle and steak sizzled in a balsamic marinade. After lunch, Giorgio will accompany you to the vinegar factory, the “acetaia,” to sample different balsamic vintages, and then onward to a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, ham or sausage maker.
But not every stop on Italy’s Classico Road is a quaint journey into a tiny town. Just down the road, in nearby Maranello, guests often clamor for a heart-thundering visit at the renovated and futuristic Museo Ferrari, where one is easily entranced by the majesty of these mesmerizing motorcars.
That’s the beauty of a private, AutoVenture tour of Italy. There are many detours of note, and you have your own Italian-speaking driver-guide who can ensure that you experience the best each region has to offer.
For those unfamiliar with Italy, an AutoVenture guided tour is the surest way of getting closest to the culture, and of capturing an unforgettable land.
