Day 1 — Cairo

Arriving in Cairo you will be met by our representative who will assist with customs clearance, luggage and airport procedures. Transfer to hotel by private air conditioned car. Four Seasons First Residence Hotel

Day 2 — Cairo

Morning meet with your Egyptologist for an unforgettable tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the incredible Solar Boat Museum, and the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Enjoy a short camel ride across the sands of Giza to the Sphinx Lunch at the historic Mena House Oberoi Hotel, next to the Pyramids. Day 3 — Cairo, Luxor, Antares Nile Express Cruise

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Luxor. On arrival Luxor you will be transferred to your deluxe Nile cruise ship, the Antares Nile Express.

This afternoon enjoy a tour of the East Bank of Luxor, starting with a visit to the Temple of Luxor, then on to the Temple of Karnak. Return to your cruise for afternoon tea in the lounge. Dinner and overnight on the cruise ship. Antares Nile

Day 4 — Cruising, Antares Nile Express Cruise

Morning visit to the West bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, Madinet Habou, Hatchepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon. Return to your cruise ship for buffet lunch while sailing to Esna. Afternoon tea. Dinner is followed by Balabeya party with a chance for all guests to dress up in the traditional Egyptian costumes. Antares Nile

Day 5 — Cruising, Antares Nile Express Cruise

Morning visit to the Temple of Edfu in horse carriages. Sail to Kom Ombo. BBQ lunch on the sun deck while sailing. Afternoon visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo on foot. Return to your cruise ship for afternoon tea. Sail to Aswan. A la carte dinner on board followed by Nubian Show. Antares Nile

Day 6 — Cruising, Antares Nile Express Cruise

Morning visit to the Temple of Philae, High Dame and the unfinished Obelisk. Buffet lunch on board cruise ship. Afternoon tour with a felucca sailing boat around the islands. Farewell dinner and overnight on cruise ship in Aswan. Antares Nile

Day 7 — Disembark Cruise, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Cairo

Disembark cruise ship. You will be transferred to the Aswan airport for your flight to Abu Simbel where you will visit the two Temples of Ramses II. Afterwards fly to Cairo. On arrival Cairo you will be transferred to your hotel.

This afternoon guide will take you to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar — reputed to be the largest bazaar in the Middle East. As you wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets you will find workshops and stalls selling all manner of things from woodwork, glassware and leather goods to perfumes, fabrics and Pharaonic curiosities. After the bazaar tour we have a dinner of traditional oriental dishes today, at the Arabian-style Neguib Mahfouz Restaurant. Named after the Nobel-prize-winning Egyptian author, the restaurant lies in the very heart of the 14th-century Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, and is steeped in atmosphere and history. Day 8 — Cairo

Morning Walking Tour through the Islamic Quarter. Lunch will be served at Swiss Air Restaurant located in the heart of downtown Cairo. After lunch, enjoy a tour of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. You will go inside the fabulous Mummies Room. Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel

Day 8 — Leave Cairo

This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the Cairo airport.
