Half Day Hong Kong Island

The Island of Hong Kong has borne witness to a unique history, and despite changing hands among foreign rulers, has emerged as one of the world’s most advanced and important cities. Tour its best highlights with this 4 hour sightseeing package. Start aboard the Victoria Peak funicular, and ascend to the island's highest point, where panoramic vistas of the metropolis below set the stage for the tour. Return to sea level and drive through Repulse and Deep Water Bays, each featuring stunning architecture and luxury residences. Visit Stanley on the island’s southern peninsula to experience a traditional market. Finally, visit the harbor at Aberdeen, where the fishing fleets floating in the bay form a city unto themselves.

Half Day Kowloon and New Territories

North of Hong Kong Island are the Kowloon Peninsula and New Territories. These areas became tied to Hong Kong during British rule, and have evolved along with it since the 19th century. The result is a fascinating combination of rural and urban, and makes for a spectacular 4 hour tour. The Kowloon waterfront is first, dominated by towering skyscrapers and modern cityscape. Up the coast is the industrial area of Tsuen Wan, with the city’s largest shopping mall and yet another cluster of towers. Next is the town of Kam Tin, where the modern residences are squeezed within 17th century walled neighborhoods. At the northernmost extent of Hong Kong are the Mai Po wetlands, where the border crossing into mainland China dominates an otherwise sleepy series of villages. Finish with the cities of Sha Tin and Tai Po before returning to downtown Hong Kong.

Full Day City

Hong Kong is a modern metropolis of towering glass skyscrapers, densely packed neighborhoods, and a frenetic pace of life. Spread out over several islands and peninsulas, the various town clusters of Hong Kong pack this 8 hour comprehensive tour. First, explore the Island of Hong Kong itself. The southern shores host extravagant luxury at Deep Water and Repulse Bays, while the harbor at Aberdeen swells with myriad fishing junks, forming a floating town unto themselves. Ascend Victoria Peak for panoramic views of central Hong Kong, before crossing the main harbor to Kowloon, the first of many city centers littering the New Territories. At Tsuen Wan, visit the region’s largest shopping mall. Inland, visit the village of Kam Tin, where modern life has squeezed new dwellings into the confines of 17th century walled neighborhoods. The rural wetlands around the Chinese internal border are next, and offer a stark, bucolic contrast to the concrete and steel of the city. Finally, see traditional heritage clash with progress at the former fishing towns of Sha Tin and Tai Po.
